As I mentioned yesterday, we were having a bad case of the “moody mondays” over here at the Miller Manor.

We snuggled up to watch movies and eat our body weight in popcorn which helped for a little bit, but we soon got a little stir crazy and my sass still had not fully mellowed.

I decided to result to my emergency bad day remedy, which is a fabulous lipstick and a quick run to swig.  It did just the trick.

I have said it before, but I am seriously loving the stages my girls are in right now.  They are so funny.  There is now way I could possibly write down all the funny things they say and do everyday.  They have their own personalities and little sense of humors.  We laugh non stop in our house.

The hilarious conversation today was what we will name our baby.  The top contenders for the girls right now are Teeter Totter, Chaty Perry and Pink.
“Because we don’t have a Chaty Perry in our house yet, mom!” Harlo tells me.  She also calls Katy Perry ‘Chaty Perry’ if you didn’t catch that yet.  Stella remains firm on Teeter Totter, but she says it like “Teedee Toddah”.  I might honestly name our baby Teeter Totter just so I can hear Stella say it all day long.

Whatever her name is, we get a good laugh at trying to figure it out.  I sure love these little ladies of mine.

And this little mug… from her squishy cheeks to her dirty fingernails.  Heavens to betsy!

Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for a very intense game of  “don’t let the balloon touch the ground”.

By this time, we had completely forgotten about our moody monday.

It’s gotten me thinking about how bad days are a lot like a contraction. (Can you tell I’ve submerged myself in birth books?) They might not be as enjoyable as the good days, but they’re there for a reason and solve a great purpose.  And without the bad days, the good days wouldn’t seem quite as good, would they?  Yesterday’s bad day is just the reminder I needed to truly count my blessings.  Even when everything seems wrong, my goodness, there’s a lot that is right.

The good and the bad – I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.

xoxo,

Cass (and baby Teedee Toddah)
