Valentines day is one of my favorite holidays ever.  An entire day filled with red and pink and treats and extra love?  I mean, sign me right up.

Valentines has taken on an extra special aspect now that we have the two little ladies to share it with.  This was Harlo’s first year at preschool so we got to indulge in making a valentines box and valentines for all her classmates.  I love this kind of stuff!  I love being a mama and being able to do these types of things for my babes.

I woke up this morning to flowers from my one true love along with a special v-day gift – even though we said we weren’t doing Valentines this year… I don’t know why couples ever say that, because someone breaks the pact and the other person feels like a jerk.  This year, that would be me.  Luckily I have a card prepared for later, but I was blind sighted by the sweet gesture this morning.   Either way it was super thoughtful and made me feel extra loved on this very love day.

Then we headed to Harlo’s preschool party which is always the highlight of Stella’s life… until it’s time to leave.  On this particular day, they had a karate teacher come teach about karate (which doesn’t have a lot to do with Valentines, but it was fun never-the-less) Harlo pretty much hated it, but Stella loved it.  Could have seen that one coming. 😉

For Harlo’s Valentines this year I just made a little card that said “i like you so much I could SQUEEZE you.” and tied it onto a squeeze-it with red and white twine.  Considering this kind of stuff is usually not my strong suit, I was pretty happy with how it turned out. The best part was Harlo writing her name on each one.  Heart melt!  This age is so much fun.

So far, we’re having a fabulous Valentimes Day.  I hope you are too!
