For a few months now, I have felt like a change was coming to our lives.
I have felt like this a time or two before. Just a hunch that something is going to come our way and change our path. We have been prayerful in this time and hope that each step we take is lead by God. We don’t know exactly what He has in store for us, as it hasn’t been revealed to us yet, but we have come to learn that a change is coming. I feel like I have really pushed back on this, but God knows my heart and knows just the way to gently push my stubborn soul.
This last week we listed our home for sale. Our first, precious home that we love so so so much.
This season of change comes with a bittersweet bite to it. I have really loved this season and the thought of things changing are both exciting and painful. It seems nearly impossible to leave this place that we have cherished so dearly, and the neighbors who have loved us so well for the last 4 years. We had the unique opportunity to live on two different streets of our neighborhood and got to know our neighbors in a really special way. This chapter of our lives has been invaluable to us. But we really feel that God has something else in store for us right now, and we are taking a step in faith and praying we are guided with each step we take in this new adventure.
One thing I’ve learned so far is that selling a home is stressful! I don’t do well living in limbo and uncertainty, so this has been particularly tough on me. But I know who is in control, and I have to trust that He will take care of us in this time of transition. It’s not always easy walking blindly by faith, but it has always always proven to be the right choice.
So if you can pray for my family in this changing season, I would really appreciate it! One thing is for sure, is that my favorite part of our house is the people who fill it up. Grateful I get to take them with me for eternity.

We had a house over on Daybreak that we tried to lease out for months…a lovely home that people just loved but…it had ‘rose colored’ carpet. It was really clean and in great shape but they just couldn’t get past the color. Then, one day, I had ‘the feeling’. I knew it was time to sell. I made the decision right then that I was going to get a for sale sign that morning and put it up. I went outside to pick up my neighbor’s paper for her and there were 2 gentlemen out in the street talking. I had a ‘For Lease’ sign in front of my house, and one of the men said, “I sure wish you were selling your house!” I said, “I am. Just decided to!” His wife wanted the house next door but he talked her into loving my house. We ended up signing papers that evening. When the force speaks, pay attention!! You will have NO problem selling that sweet lovely home of yours!!!

That is crazy how things can work out! I’m anxious to see how it goes for us. 🙂

Just a curious mind over here but just wondering if you could explain to me. You don’t want to sell your house but you feel like God is telling you you should? Or you have been wanting to sell your house and got the push/feeling from God like you should right now? Just wondering in a respectful curious way! Also trying to understand and wondering if I have felt or ignored these pulls!

Hi Amy, the option to sell has come up several times in the last year or so and I keep saying ‘no… I can’t sell it.”, but we seem to have had more and more reasons stack up that have pushed us to sell. These have been big and small reasons, but after so many “nudges” we have decided to look at the bigger picture and put it out there. Maybe we are being pulled to another area, or another opportunity and I’m not seeing that quite yet. So even though *I* had plans to stay longer, the “bigger plan” has seemed to take a different course than I originally thought.
It may seem confusing to some, but we can’t help but feel like this is the right decision for us right now. 🙂

We just sold our house in December. It came out of no where and we just put it on the market. It sold in 5 days!! It was totally meant to be. But now we are renting trying to figure out the next step which we don’t know yet. Haha! It’s amazing how things work out, and the blessings we receive from following the promptings of the spirit! Your cute house will sell fast I bet! Good luck ?

That is crazy, Bria! We’ve had a lot of interest on ours so far, so we’ll see. Taking the next step is the hard part! We might rent for a while as well until we can figure it out. It’s such a balancing act buying and selling, so we’ll see if the right house comes along at the right time.

I drove by the other day and thought I saw a “for sale” sign up on your home. I drove by so fast though that i thought, “nahhh, it has to be their neighbors home” lol Good luck, you are amazing and will do well wherever you go 🙂 -Val
