We have been taking turns with a little stomach bug this week.. the last few days was my turn.  I was oddly accustomed to the stomach bug because being pregnant feels pretty much exactly the same as having the flu.  If Stella didn’t have it first, I wouldn’t have even thought twice about it.  Needless to say, we’ve spent a lot of time lounging around this week and not doing much of anything that required energy.

This babe is officially half way done cooking!  Fingers crossed the last 20-ish weeks goes easy on me.

This bed is getting progressively harder to get out of.  When little feet are draped over my belly in the morning, it’s dang near impossible.

Yesterday morning I woke up to Stella laying so close to me, I’m pretty sure she was on top of me.  Her right hand was wrapped around my neck and her left one was tangled in my hair. Her right leg was slung right over my big ol’ belly.  I thought to myself that there was literally no other way I would rather greet the day.  I love being a mama so much.  Squished beds and all.

Going anywhere with “scrambled eggs and crayons” is a highlight of the girls lives.  Stella was not mad about Daddy surprising us with a quick brunch date.  (What is so magical about going out to breakfast? I can’t ever put my finger on it.)

Our mornings right now might mean a run for breakfast burritos when someone wakes up too early (thank you daylight savings!) and some chocolate milk, along with some good ol’ fashioned art mixed in.  We like to keep things interesting.

I think we have a growing case of cabin fever mixed with a sugar detox from Halloween last week.. other than that, this week hasn’t been half bad.  Hoping the stomach bug stops with me! Ahoy, OnGuard!
