This last weekend, we took the family on a little Vegas getaway. It was originally supposed to be a getaway for me and Brady to meet up with my sister Ali and Gemar while they were in town, but since we had to cancel our trip to California the week that everything went on with my miscarriage, we decided to take the girls along so they could see Auntie. It ended up being exactly what we all needed!
We had been cooped up in the house for the last week so it was a lovely break from our real life. We took the girls to shark reef for the first time and they loved it! They still haven’t stopped talking about the “dori’s” and the jellyfish. It made a lasting impression for sure.
We were excited our favorite Vegas pals could join us too. Our shark reef picture was pretty epic. 😉
To complete my idea of Las Vegas perfection, we obviously had to eat at Chipotle. It may seem small, but it made my entire month of March… which wasn’t that hard to do.
I needed this day more than I even knew. It felt so good to spend some time with my sister. Sometimes, you just need a sister and this week, I definitely did. She’s such a gem she even took me to her hotel room after this to give me a manicure before heading home. I mean… what can I even say about this lady? She holds half my heart.

Sounds fun! I need my sis time too!:) Can’t help wonder about your hair!! It looks so healthy and shiny! Beautiful! I started using (the lavender) Wen, and it’s making my hair feel… Greasy? I have the exact color of hair as you, and my hair is just a bit longer or about the same as yours. Anyway, I am wondering what to do? Suggestions? I know I read once that you loved Wen? Have you had that problem?

Aw, thank you about the hair. I do use Wen and I love it. How long have you been using it? The first few washes, it took me to get the hang of how much and my hair to adjust. If your hair is greasy, you’re probably not using enough Wen. For my hair which is medium in thickness and reaches the top of my tailbone. I use 30-35 pumps each wash. I usually do 15 pumps first and then 15 more and apply where I need it. then I pick through my hair to make sure it gets everywhere. I pin it up for the rest of my shower and air dry.

Oh perfect! Thank you so much!! I would have never thought to use MORE pumps! But I did… And no greasy yucky feeling! You were right! Yahoo! How often do you go through shampoo? It seems like that is a ton… but I guess when you take into account you’re not using conditioner, it evens out. I just started using it about 2 weeks ago. I really should let my hair air dry too, but it gets a lil too frizzy? Anyway, you are a lifesaver and a doll :). Thank you! I haven’t had two second to read your regime, but I will do that soon! Glad more pumps worked! My hair tends to be on the frizzy side because it’s wavy, so definitely read that post because I talk all about that with air drying. 🙂 I go through a bottle of Wen about every 6 weeks. I wash my hair usually twice a week if I can get away with it. I wish I could buy it in a bigger bottle, but to me it’s definitely worth the $25 every 6 weeks because it has been magic to my hair. At first I felt like I was using a lot too, but it ends up being about two palmfuls which is probably how much shampoo + conditioner I would use regularly. 🙂
