Our May has been a good one.  In St. George, May is probably the last month we’ll want to be outside unless there’s a pool nearby.  I love spring and I’ll be sad to see it go, but I know summer will bring lots of goodness to this little life of ours, too.

I am so enjoying my girls at the ages they are.  Stella has recently stopped taking naps for the most part, so our days of scheduling and timing has come to a close.  Our afternoons are free to do whatever we want, and whatever we want, we do!  It’s fun to be spontaneous and be able to jump in the car (or in the stroller) at any given time.  I remembering wondering what these times would be like when I had two babies at home and suddenly, I have two little girls who can pretty well keep up with whatever we throw their way.  I know we’d like more babies sometime, but for right now, I’m just enjoying the freedom and wonder that comes with having 4 and 2 year old little girls at home.  It truly is the neatest thing I’ve ever experienced.

We have two huge pecan trees in front of our house.  Almost year round, we can scoop up some nuts and eat them on the front porch.  When there’s nothing to do at home, we can always head to the front yard for a good way to pass the time.  The girls LOVE this! (And they’re dang good at getting those nuts cracked, too!)

This is also the time of year that the green that surrounds our house just flourishes.  I don’t love anything more than a yard surrounded by green.
(living in the desert, this is tough to come by!)

We love to take walks around the neighborhood, stopping every few steps to explore the surroundings.

These little sisters are quite popular in the neighborhood.
(and I think I can see why)

I pretty much live for little girls in sparkling sandals.

Our afternoon walks almost always lead us to the carousel.  $1 for all 3 of us to ride.  If that’s not a bargain, I don’t know what is!

Whether we planned for it or not, upon leaving the carousel, the girls usually need to check out the water.
I like to sit in the shade and watch them together.  I love the way they nervously walk up to the water, Stella splashes in it and both come shrieking and running back to me.

 Stella’s face when she runs…
you’re welcome.

I have adored these May days and will be sad to see them go.  Even more though, I have enjoyed this precious season of our life.  This summer, I am trying to not worry about “what’s next?”.  I am trying to just BE and enjoy this exact season we’re in, right now.

I love these little girls more than I ever knew my heart could love.  I am grateful for so many big things in my life, but this month, I’m especially grateful for these little walks to the water park.

Our life is a beautiful one.

Now head over to Wynne’s blog and die over those sweet babies of hers.  Make sure to make your way through the circle til you find your way back here.  And show these ladies some love!  I’m so glad they share their lives with us like this each month.

Are you joining in?  Leave your post link in the comments so we can check yours out too!  This is such a fun way to document our families each month and I invite you all to jump in and show us what YOUR month looks like.

xoxo, C
