I’m trying to play catch-up on the blog… I’m having a hard time balancing out my personal blog with my photo blog but I’m catching up slowly but surely!

Mother’s Day this year was lovely. We didn’t do too much but I was pampered and spoiled all day which was fabulous. šŸ™‚ My dad showed up bright and early with a bouquet of wild flowers (my favorite) for mother’s day which was really nice. I’m bummed I didn’t get a picture of them, they were beautiful.
We lounged around all day then headed to Aunt Judy’s for the Harris Family Mother’s Day. We were supposed to meet at the park but the weather didn’t allow, so Aunt Judy was nice enough to open her home to everyone.. even though she was right in the middle of a move! (Thanks again, Aunt Judy!) I think the kids loved it though because it gave them a huge empty space to run around in. Of course my girls loved it. Harlo got to run around with the kids and Stella was passed around and doted on the entire time.

Stelly was loving Great-Grandma Harris this trip. She was content as could be right in Grandma’s arms.

I thought I had a great idea to make our own mother’s day card this year with some cute pictures of the girls that Nana could put on her desk at work… My girls are officially at a rough stage in the picture taking department… they were not havin’ that. Harlo refused to sit down for some reason and Stella didn’t know how she felt about the whole situation. Good idea in theory, but hopefully next year is a little better in execution. At least we all got a good laugh out of the shots I got.

It’s so fun to be able to celebrate mother’s day first hand. This time of year makes me think of all the many mothers who have helped raise me and who have such a huge part in the mother I am today.

Thank you to my girls, Harlo and Stella, for showing me what life is really all about.

xoxo, Mommy
