This girl is a total crack-up.
She wanted to try on her big-girls that she got for her b-day because they had Yo-Gabba characters on them. She thought they were so cool, but after a few minutes was alarmed when she could no longer see Foofa…
Then the other day she was playing in my room and I turned around and she is wearing this:
Aren’t those fancy? Daddy’s dirty ankle socks that come up to her thighs, one on backwards.
I am obsessed with Harlo’s run, which is great because that’s her new favorite thing to do when I tell her to smile for a picture. :)
I am seriously obsessed with this girl.
I don’t know how you wouldn’t be.
She is always saying and doing the most hilarious things.
I love her age!
I love her age!
She is really into manners right now,
which is great because I’m the manner-nazi.
If she’s doing something naughty, all I have to tell her is, “hey, that’s not good manners.”
and she shapes right up.
Her most commonly used “good-manner-phrases” are “excuse me” and “no, thanks.”
Last week Auntie handed her a ‘special drink’ and Harlo looked up and said “no thanks.”
Last week Auntie handed her a ‘special drink’ and Harlo looked up and said “no thanks.”
The other day I asked her if she wanted to go on the big girl potty and she said “no.. no thanks, mama.”
It never gets old hearing it.
If anyone is ever in her way, (me, stella, nana, the couch..) she’ll say “cuse me! cuse me, mom!”
Everyone dies when they hear her saying these things.
So do I.
It’s so nice to hear that from my two year old rather than “NO!” or “I DON’T WANT IT!” or “MOVE!”
We’ll see how long this keeps up :)
She hasn’t been as “button-pushy” with Stella the last few weeks, which is awesome.
She’s back to thinking it’s cool to be the big helper.
Whenever Stella fusses Harlo is the first one there to talk to her and try to get her to calm down.
Today after several attempts to help Stel and she was still fussy, Harlo finally said “Stel, CALM DOWN!”

Ha, I felt like saying the same thing.
She has to give every single person in the house a kisses before nap/bedtime.
If the person is not there, she wants to kiss a picture of them on the wall.
Whenever she leaves anywhere she blows kisses and demands that you “catch! catch! catch!” them.
Her favorite movie right now is “Woody” or Toy Story 3 that she got for V-day.
She loves jewelry of any kind and will always ask to wear mine,

She knows she’s not allowed to wear my “speshy ring” aka wedding ring.
She’ll say, “mommy’s speshy ring. Daddy give you? it’s speshy, huh.”
She’ll say, “mommy’s speshy ring. Daddy give you? it’s speshy, huh.”
Her favorite drink is a Pink Juice which is about 1 part juice to 9 parts water.
I don’t know the day i’ll let her have real juice, but I don’t anticipate it anytime soon.
She has figured out that Daddy’s pink juice is better than mommy’s, though…
She has figured out that Daddy’s pink juice is better than mommy’s, though…
She’ll say “mom, I want pink juice, daddy’s.”
She has figured out what I’ll say no to so she simply will always ask Auntie. (or whoever else is around at that time.)
At Cafe Rio she always wants a candy, she knows she has to wait til after dinner.
At Cafe Rio she always wants a candy, she knows she has to wait til after dinner.
So as we were sitting down, she asks Auntie, “Auntie, candy?” so I said, “no.. not til after dinner.” and she say, “no! auntie. (turns to auntie) auntie, candy?”
Like she can manipulate who she asks to get her way.
What a little smartie-pants.
She has started to do that with me and Brady and we have to be a little more careful with that one.
I feel like it’s a bit early to start catching on to things like that but I guess not! What a stinker. ha

She always wants to wear a “pretty dress” which is either:
A t-shirt of mine tied in the back to fit her,
The skirts Nana makes her over her clothes (I literally have to hide these or she’ll demand to wear them)
or a blankie tied around her waste so it’s long and flowing like a gown.
She’s my girl for sure.
She’s my girl for sure.
If Brady’s home she wants him to do everything.
Getting out of the car, “Daddy get me out.”
Getting out of the car, “Daddy get me out.”
Getting in her high chair “Daddy help you.”
Wanting a snack “Daddy get me lunch.”
I’ll admit it gets a little discouraging after a whole entire weekend,
But I really try to focus on the positive and realize I have to do about half as much on the weekends because she demands Brady helps. ha.
It’s always nice on Monday when things are back to normal though.
She always wants me to “sit by you” which means ‘sit by me‘
She always wants me to “sit by you” which means ‘sit by me‘
Her new thing is she has to get up to get something, she’ll say “k mama, stay riiiight der…. stay right der, mom. stay.” (and she’ll remind me every two steps she takes away from me)
I have no idea why because when she wants to play, I’m usually totally down and would never sneak away.
I don’t even know where she learned that, but it’s so cute and funny.
She’s getting so complimentary.
The other day I came out wearing a floral printed shirt and she looked at me with bright eyes and said, “pretty dress, mama!”
It’s days like that that I can’t believe this is really my life.
I love every single ounce of being a mom. I really, really do.
