Stella weighed 8 lbs 6 oz at her 2 week appointment, which was really a day before the 3 week mark.
Dr. Marsden was surprised at how alert she was, and how she stares directly into your eyes.
She had started throwing-up a dark yellowish color a few days after she was born, I had taken her in and we discussed it being a few different things, and I was told jsut to watch it. It happened a few more times over the next week, but by this appointment she had gone 4 days without throwing up and hasn’t since! So relieved… one of the more severe possibilities of this type of vomiting would have needed a small surgery to fix, so I’m very excited it was just still some mucous in there from the birth.
One of Brady’s questions was actually, “Is it okay if she almost never cries?” We had a good giggle over that one.
We took Harlo to this appointment, she typically HATES the doctor and starts freaking out as soon as she sees Alicia or Dr. Marsden. This day she was fine, she kept a close on Stella when Dr. Marsden took her to look her over, but other than that she didn’t seem the least bit worried. ha.
Dr. M was also very glad to hear that Harlo has adjusted so well to her new baby sister.
Mostly we just couldn’t stop talking about how good she is and how much we just absolutely love her.
Dr. Marsden made a comment about how the first few times we brought Harlo in we looked terrified and nervous, had a million and one questions and now with Stella we’re just nice and relaxed, hardly have any questions, just totally chill. Guess that’s a perk of the 2nd baby 🙂
