{August 2}
Let it be noted that Daddy dressed her this day, from head to toe, without ANY help from Mommy.. isn’t she fancy?!

Harlo has fallen in love with being “ousside?” We haven’t played much outside with me being 100 weeks pregnant and it being over 100 degrees out, but now that some of the nights have been a little cooler, and my body temperature is a little cooler, we’ve played outside a little more.

She loves telling Itty to “potty, Itty!” and after Itty does potty, she yells in the highest pitch you’ve ever heard, “GOOO GIRRRR!” (good girl)

She now insists on being part of the conversation. Whenever I’m talking to someone, she jumps in with her jibber-jabber, laughs when we laugh, and talks with her hands. Such a girl! I love it.

My mom moved to town and has been helping out with the new baby, Harlo has definitely warmed up to “gamma”… not quite so much to “kinney” (Gram’s husband), although she asks where “Kinney” is everytime she sees Gram, only to shy away when he’s actually around. She’s so silly.

She loves to make everything a purse, if it has a strap or a handle of some sort, she immediately puts it on her shoulder with her hand straight up in the air so it doesn’t fall off. She’ll walk around like this forever. I’m so surprised her arm doesn’t start hurting.

She loves “Baby Lella/Bella” (she switches how she says Stella on a day to day basis)

Throughout the day, she’ll come up and say “hold-a?” I sit her down and let her hold Stella, it usually lasts just long enough to give Stella a kiss on the forehead, maybe a little “shh, shh, shh” along with a pat-pat and then she pushes Stella right off her lap! She’s done. That was great.

In the morning though, she asks for Stella right away. She’ll hold her for longer and she’ll gently put her cheek on Stella’s. She likes how soft it feels on her cheek. She’ll give her plenty of soft kissies and touch her hands and piggies, naming all of Stella’s body parts to me with a proud look on her face. She just watches her in amazement and every time Stella moves or changes her facial expression, Harlo looks at me with wide eyes and a little giggle. She’s so amazed by her baby sis. It’s like having the best baby doll ever! Melts me every. single. day.

She has a thing with G’s… a stroller is “grolla”, straw is “graw” and a french fry is “gry”. The only thing she says that starts with S is “it SANE!” (copying me saying “that’s insane!”) which she says with a lisp. Oh how I hope she has a lisp!

Her schedule right now is waking up between 9-10, goes down for a nap between 1-2, sleeps til about 4-5 and bedtime is usually about 8:30. Her schedule has stayed the same since Stella was born, which I was so happy about! Some days she has a shorter nap, but for the most part it stays just the same.

She wants to eat “yoga” (yogurt) with granola mixed in every morning for breakfast. She also is loving PB&J sandwiches right now, which she used to hate. She’s a really good eater, though. People are constantly commenting on how well she eats.

She’s fascinated by counting these days. She doesn’t quite have them all in order, but she’ll usually pair 2-3 together properly. She finally says “one-two” now rather than “two-two” to start everything. She also likes “six-seben” and “nine!” she loves along with “eleben” Usually whens he tries to count it goes something like this, “one-two-two-two-six-seben-two-nine-two-eleben!” We’re working on it. šŸ™‚

She is also a fan of “one-two, jup!” where she squats down saying “one-two” and when she gets to “jup!” she springs up, lifting one leg off the ground, her arms in the air and looks up. This is her version of jumping.

She knows her colors extremely well.

She can’t get enough of rainbows, Brady is constantly being asked to pull pictures of “waimbows” up on the computer so she can see them. She signs rainbow, names the colors and tries to sing her “do you know the colors of a rainbow?” song.

She is just doing and saying and learning more stuff all the time! Constantly keeping us laughing. We just absolutely cannot get enough!
