Here are some scenes and ramblings of the week.

I asked Harlo to get off the computer and help me with Grae while I got in the shower the other day. Ā I got out and Grae was still quiet as can be. Ā I found them like this. Ha! They’re so much like their dad.

We got a new mattress this week. Ā The one we had bought our first week of marriage was rather worn. Ā You could pretty much see our bodies imprinted in it. Ā Our new one is from Costco. Ā It’s a bit firmer and will take some getting used to, but luckily we’re liking it so far…. all 5 of us. šŸ˜‰

I recently started washing my face every night with coconut oil. (look up oil cleansing your face to find out more info) I have been so thrilled with the results. Ā I have pretty temperamental skin, especially while I’m pregnant and nursing. Ā I mix in some vitamin C and essential oils like melaleuca and grapefruit and have really found that concoction works for me. Ā My skin (almost) looks like it didĀ before I started having kids. šŸ˜‰

I have NEVER been a big planner, or organized at all for that matter. (Ask my mother.) Ā This year my resolution is to develop some OCD and my Erin Condren life planner is helping me! I now have no clue how I lived without one for so long. Ā (I will be posting more about this book-formed miracle and how I use it soon!)

And along with my newly organized life, is my newly clean life. Ā I am one that gets so easily buried in housework, especially with each new kid. Ā The only thing that has saved me from myself lately is Fly Lady. Ā I swear my house has been clean for more consecutive weeks lately than it has in my entire life, I think. Ā I have really learned to love to go to sleep with a clean kitchen and wake up to a clean kitchen. Ā If you struggle with keeping on top of the house work (who doesn’t??) You have to check out FlyLady.Ā It sounds dramatic, but it may have actually changed my life.

This week I also started my first book club. Ā After months of trading books off and on with a few friends, we decided to make it official and get together for a monthly book club. Ā I’m super excited about this to meet some goals ofĀ reading more. Ā Plus, girls only night with a purpose? Sign me up. Ā This month we’re reading Carry On Warrior by Glennon Doyle (which was recommended to me by one of you!) Can’t wait to read it! Read along with us if you want to! (it was my turn to host, so I practiced my new silhouette skillz on a quick banner! Who here is a silhouette expert?? Help me! Ā I want to be one too!)

This week was busy and good. Ā The kind I barely left my house, made countless lunches, snacks, and dinners, held the baby more hours of the week than not, and have sore legs from too many dance-offs in my kitchen. Ā You know I love those kind.

Here’s to a great weekend that hopefully has a bit more sleep to offer (#teethingbabyproblems).
