This week has been a bit all over the place.  I started it out really busy with work.  (I know, work?)  Yeah, I still do that sometimes.  This week I’ve been working on a commercial job and for a project I really believe in, so it’s been a good kind of busy.  I have been taking on way less jobs this year than I did last year and that’s been really nice for the mama heart.  It was good for me to have a big week of sessions roll through though.  It’s always good for me to work my creative muscle and since I’ve been away from home this week more than usual, it’s helped me on really being present when I am home.

My girls got a pop-up tent/castle from Nana and Papa.  They have LOVED it and have insisted we spend as much time here as possible this week.
(it’s a rather tight squeeze with mama in here, but they haven’t minded a bit)

We have taken probably a few too many trips to go get ice cream.
(but with a face like that, how can you say no? I mean, really.)

I have pondered on why bike riding in the house is socially unacceptable.  It’s working for us just fine.
(kitchen table, smitchen schmable!)

Harlo’s big preschool performance was last night.  I literally cannot tell you how excited she was (or Stella was) because there are no words for that level of excitement.
When I would ask Harlo to show me some of her dance, she would tell me “You’ll just have to look and see!”
Home girl was not giving up the goods for nothin’.

My life was made complete by this here image below…

Harlo’s preschool teacher, Miss Manda, is a total babe.  She tells me all the time how beautiful Miss Manda is.
She’ll say “Mom, you’re pretty, but… Miss Manda has long hair that matches mine.”
How can I compete with that?
Harlo is the sweetest most fabulous little girl you’ll meet.  Miss Manda says Harlo tells her things like “Miss Manda, cute outfit!” or “I like your top knot!”
This little lady.. she’s so posh.

What have you been doing this week?
