I had so much fun with this session.  Rachael is a close family friend and she’s just about the sweetest person you’ve ever met.   She’s always out and about with her kids, always doing something fun.  She’s such a cool mom.
I wanted to try to really capture that connection and tell the story of this time in their lives right now.  When I asked Rachael what they like to do for fun on their free days, she told me they usually head to a favorite park and sprawl out and play soccer or some other game and then maybe go get a treat.  That sounded like the perfect session to me!

At almost every family session I do, the family is always heading somewhere fun after.  Remembering back, I always loved family picture day but not because of the picture taking, because it always warranted dinner-out or an ice cream afterword.  After so many times driving home from sessions knowing that the family was going out for a some real family fun, I always wondered why I wasn’t there taking their pictures.  Seemed a little off to me.  I want to capture the real you.  And while part of you might be gorgeous in an outdoor location, something tells me there’s more to the story. 😉  So, from here on out, I am offering/urging you to have your family sessions be more of an evening than just an hour.  I want YOU, your personalities, your family, your connection all to be part of your session and that’s something I know we can’t totally get with just one quick location.  Don’t be afraid to invite me along to get a treat after.   That’s where the real magic happens.  I promise you wont regret it.  The 15 minute we were at the snow cone shack were my favorite shots of this entire session. 🙂

So here they are, Rach and her babies in the perfect way they love,

Enjoy!

xoxo, C
