What can I say about this sassy girl?
She is an absolute RIOT.
She is constantly doing and saying the funniest things.
She is such a smartie and continues to shock us with her knowledge on a daily basis.
Her favorite food is still oatmeal.
She asks for “oatmew” for every single meal and snack.
Her other favorite snack is “cheese like Elmo”
When she asks for “cheese like Elmo” she means the sharp cheddar Tillamook cheese that comes in a red (like Elmo) package.
She puts up a fight to eat lunch and dinner every single day, but for some reason she’s obsessed with Stella’s baby food.
I’ve given her a couple bites of it thinking she’d hate it, and she will eat a whole bowl to herself.
Even green beans!
I don’t really know what to do about this…
She is still quite the complimentor.
Yesterday morning I went into her room wearing my old cafe rio t-shirt that I slept in and she said, “cute shirt, mama!”
Today I had my hair pulled up in a messy bun and she said “mama, your hair is silly… but it’s cute. I like it!”
She says “Earngee’s” for “Earrings”.
But if you say “Earngees” she has no idea what you’re talking about..
Every day when she wakes up from naptime, she wants Stelly to get in bed with her and play.
They’ll play in there for hours if I let them! Makes it nice to get dinner started.
I just have to keep an eye on them so Stel doesn’t get smothered by the lovins.
She sings the ABC’s constantly lately.
Well, it is a never ending song when she sings it,
She sings “..wxyz, no, no, no my abcdefg..”.
No wonder it never stops.
When she gets owies, mama has to kiss it better,
Then Stella has to kiss it better. Then it’s “Aah Bettier”.
She also sometimes talks with a french accent.
And she all the sudden calls Auntie, “AUntie” instead of how we normally would say, “AAntie”.
She says “Scooze-Over” instead of “scoot over”
We have an Elmo’s World episode called “Opposites”, which she can never remember how to say and somehow it always comes out “Pink-a-sauce”.
Right now her favorite movie is “Woody” (toy story 3) since she got it for her Valentines present.
When we watch Nemo she always says “Nemo blue one” when it starts, because she wants me to start it all the way from the beginning (Disney’s beginning credit is that big blue screen with the castle) and not skip it ahead after Nemo’s mommy gets in trouble like Daddy does. (he thinks it’s a little too scary for her.) šŸ™‚
She is always saying how things are “so cute” which she pronounces “si-cewt” more like.
She is always wanting Stella to smile, but when she tells her to smile in her cheesiest, CHEESIEST voice, she tenses her face all up and her lips around her teeth curl up and she smiles and it’s the funniest face ever. Gets Stella to smile every single time and gets me to laugh every single time.
Today she was so cute when she almost got in trouble and I reminded her that when we act that way we have to leave toys home so she snapped out of it and said “I sorry mama” without being prompted, so basically teary eyed I said “it’s okay, thank you for saying you’re sorry.” and she says “you’re welcome” and I smiled and she says “love you so much!” Ohhh my goodness, melt my heart.
Probably even more since the day before, everytime I walked into her room she’d say “Mama, go!” (whaaa)
She’s starting to learn the meaning of “just one more”
Today we went for a LONG walk and we got home she said “just one more” since she didn’t want to get out of the stroller.
She has crazy hearing skills and is always saying “what’s that?” then “listen!” with her hand to her ear.
We have construction going on right behind our house 24/7 so she’s always hearing noises from that.
She can basically be doing anything (including throwing a tantrum) and if you ask her to have a tea party, she’ll drop it and come along.
She loves getting Stella to laugh in the car. She’ll make noises and Stella will copy her and they’ll laugh and laugh.
Needless to say, we rarely listen to music anymore.
What could be a better sound than two baby girls giggling?
After we read books she always says “say prayer!”
..And someitmes after prayer she’ll say “say prayer!” just so she doesn’t have to go to bed right away.
Her hair is getting so long.
She doesn’t love getting it combed.
She has pretty sensitive skin.
Her arms get dry and she has a dry patch on her leg that gets irritated if we use scented lotion.
They seem to be good as long as I do vasaline in the tubby, though.
She’s always dramatically getting the hair out of her eyes.
It’s a daily ordeal when she wants to wear my highest high heels out of the house.
When we go to TJ Maxx, she immediatley kicks off her shoes and heads toward the high heels.
When she wants a bite of something she’ll say “harlo’s turn?”
She’s just so fun.
