Last week, our sweet little Grae turned one year old! Man, how time flies.  I had been thinking of her first birthday since pretty much the minute I found out I was pregnant.  I have had one baby in the dead of summer and another in the dead of winter and I was so looking forward to having a spring baby just for the birthday parties alone. 🙂  Last year, we had just barely moved into our house when Grae was born (two days to spare).  I looked forward to what it would look like a year later.  Our kitchen would be done as well as a list of house projects and we could host her birthday here at our own backyard.  Our backyard still has a LOT of work, but it is still fully capable of holding a party.  It was pretty much no question that she would have a Golden themed birthday.  Grae is our rainbow baby and our little pot of gold!  I had so much fun setting up for this backyard party.  It wasn’t anything too fancy, but the girls helped me for weeks making every single decoration and ideas of how to set it up.  I loved their involvement and I loved seeing it all come together.  It was a labor of love, for sure!  Huge thank you to Mr. Miller who is a great sport about helping me hang this or that and always keeping up with the projects. We had a great time and I think Grae Girl did, too!

Of course, I have a lot more to say about Grae turning one.  I’ll be posting her official one year post soon. 🙂
